Before it opens

Come in as a founding member.

HeyNik opens to everyone in the first week of October. Ten people get in before that, at a price that never moves again.

  • $50 a month, locked for life. The public price at launch is higher, and it will keep moving. Yours will not.
  • Full access from day one. Every problem, every pattern, the whole Badkundri Method™. No tiers and nothing held back for a higher plan.
  • You get it before anyone else. Founding members are in and working while the waitlist is still being emailed.
  • Built around the first ten. What those ten get stuck on shapes what gets added first. That input doesn’t exist again after launch.

The invisible bottleneck

You carry moments.

30 off 40. You’re in. You’ve done the hard part.

Then one thought arrives. “Don’t waste this.”

And from that ball the innings changes. Not your technique. Not your fitness. Something underneath. Something nobody is coaching.

Or you’re bowling. First spell is going. You’re on the right length. The batter is uncomfortable. Then one over goes for 12. A top edge. A misfield. One that sat up.

And that’s the moment you cannot find that spot anymore.

You try to breathe. Visualise. Self-talk. It hasn’t worked as well as you’d like.

That’s because you carry moments.

In the nets there are no consequences. The game is different. It’s obvious why you play differently — and it is completely fixable once someone names what is actually happening.

What most players call it

Nerves. Form. One of those days.

It is almost never any of those. Underneath every problem a cricketer brings, there are three patterns — and HeyNik knows which one is running.

01

Nets to game day

You drive it on Tuesday and leave the same ball on Saturday. The gap between the player at training and the player in the middle. That gap has a cause, and it can be closed.

02

Overthinking

You know exactly what to do. Then the moment matters and your head gets involved. Second-guessing. Freezing. Too many things to think about and no way to narrow it down.

03

Am I good enough

Form, selection, confidence that moves with the scoreboard. Even Kohli named it in an interview. It has always been the work. That is the pattern.

Every problem. Named.

Bring it how you’d say it to a teammate.

No forms. No dropdowns. No library of videos you will never open. You say what happened, and you get the answer Nik would give a player sitting in front of him.

You

“My first ball is a loosener.”

HeyNik

If you treat it as a loosener you’ve decided it doesn’t count before it’s bowled. That’s a decision, not a habit. Let’s change what you walk out carrying.

You

“I replay the last ball.”

HeyNik

The last one is gone and the next one hasn’t happened. What you need is a reset quick enough to actually use between deliveries. We can build you one.

You

“My confidence moves with my scores.”

HeyNik

If it’s built on results it will always move with them. Let’s put it on something that doesn’t shift every time the scoreboard does.

You

“I miss my yorker when it counts.”

HeyNik

It’s there in the nets, so the ball isn’t the problem. What changes at the death is what you’re thinking about as you let it go. That’s the bit we work on.

You

“Dropped means I’m done.”

HeyNik

It feels permanent because who you are and how you’re selected have become the same thing. They’re not. Let’s separate them and put the time you’ve been given to work.

You

“One bad game ruins the next few weeks.”

HeyNik

It stays because it was never properly closed off. A review that actually finishes the thought will let the next game start clean.

Nik Badkundri — the coach behind it

I don’t sell motivation. I build frameworks.

Nik Badkundri works with cricketers who are good enough. Who have always been good enough. And who can’t work out why that stops mattering when the game gets important.

Ten plus years. 165+ cricketers in the last twelve months alone, across every level. The pattern underneath is almost always the same.

The Badkundri Method™ is that body of work — the questions he asks, the way he reads a performance problem, and the frameworks he builds to fix it. HeyNik is that method, made available to every cricketer who can’t get a seat in the room.

For parents

You’ve watched them go quiet on the drive home.

Their batting gets coached every week. Their bowling gets coached every week. The part that decides what actually happens on Saturday gets a pat on the back and “just back yourself”.

Someone real behind it

Not an app built by a tech company with a sports skin on it. This is one coach’s decade of work with cricketers from juniors through to professional contracts, and he can see what your child is working through.

What it costs, plainly

One-to-one mental performance coaching runs into the hundreds per session and is usually fully booked. This is the same thinking for the price of a couple of coffees a month.

Safe by design

Performance coaching only, never therapy. If something a player raises needs more than that, they are told so directly and pointed to real support rather than worksheeted through it. Their data is never sold and never shared with advertisers.

Why this exists
Not everyone can afford to sit in a room with a coach. That shouldn’t decide who gets to play their best.

The players who need this most are usually the ones furthest from it. Elite programs have specialists on staff. Everyone else gets told to relax and back themselves.

Nik’s mission is to make the mental side of cricket accessible to every cricketer who wants it, wherever they play and whatever they earn. HeyNik is the first step in that.

— Nik
Before you ask

The honest answers.

Is this therapy?
No. It is mental performance coaching for cricket, built from Nik’s real coaching work and focused on your game. It is not a substitute for therapy or mental-health treatment. If something you raise needs more than performance coaching, you will be told so directly and pointed toward the right support.
Is it just ChatGPT with a cricket prompt?
No. It works from The Badkundri Method™ and the problems Nik has actually coached, not generic advice scraped off the internet. If what you bring sits outside cricket performance, it will tell you rather than guess.
What if my problem isn’t one of the ones listed?
Say it however you’d say it to a teammate. Underneath the named problems there are three patterns, and almost everything a cricketer brings runs on one of them. HeyNik works out which, then works it through with you.
What age is it for?
Cricketers from 13 up, at any level from junior and club through to representative and professional. Parents are welcome to go through it first.
What happens to my data?
It is never sold and never shared with advertisers. What you work through is used to help you and to let Nik see where players keep getting stuck. The full privacy policy is at the bottom of this page.
When does it open?
The first week of October. Everyone on the waitlist hears first, and the first ten people on the list are offered a founding place at $50 a month, locked in for as long as they stay. Joining the list is free.
